Look For Registration for the 2009 Spirit of Racine Triathlon(s)

The Spirit of Racine Triathlon VI returned to Racine, Wisconsin on July 19-20. The multi-sport weekend featured a Blue Wave SPRINT and Women's Only Sprint distance triathlon on Saturday and a HALF distance triathlon on Sunday.

A field of exceptional competitors from across the nation and around the world competed in the triathlon. And once again the spirited people of Racine opened their doors and rolled out the red carpet.

The swim portion took place along Lake Michigan’s pristine lakefront, followed by a bike ride on the Modine Manufacturing Bike Course in the scenic countryside of Racine County and finished with a run on the Wheaton Franciscan Run Course through Racine’s quaint, historic neighborhoods.

Participants thoroughly enjoyed the event and are looking forward to next years event. With its scenic course, spirited people, and a competitive field fighting for a share of the $25,000 HALF prize purse, this is an exciting triathlon for first timers and seasoned veterans.

This year’s HALF field was limited to 2,000 participants. The new SPRINT field was limited to the first 1,000 participants.
