EVP Volleyball Tournament Comes Back to the Beach

The 3rd annual Extreme Volleyball Professional tournament returned to North Beach to be greeted by one of the largest and most excited crowds the tournament has ever seen. Now, Racine can welcome them back as they return for the World Championships Saturday, September 6.

Wisconsin’s largest beach volleyball tournament revisits the sandy shores off beautiful Lake Michigan, Saturday, September 6.  The tournament is the 28th out of 32 tournaments on the 2008 EVP Professional Amateur tour. Players from around the world will compete all day under the gorgeous Wisconsin sun, all vying for a large purse reward.

Come watch such renowned players like Chicago's Rasa Virsilaite and her 2008 partner Dana Fiume try and de-thrown the undefeated Clearwater Beach team of Kimberly Whitney and Tara Kuk. On July 12 the girls from Chicago forced a third and decisive game but failed to pull out the win. Come September 6, you know the girls will be back to get their revenge!

The tournament is a free event with competition beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday with the championship game being played around 5:30 p.m.
